NYE CRASH__012.JPG

Chelsea Roberts holds a photo of her daughter Georgia Durmeier on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022 in Driggs, Idaho.

A year ago a family was traveling in rural Nye County when they were hit head-on by a driver, high on meth and fentanyl. Three people died, and two survived.

Cops had stopped the driver an hour before, and let him go.

Working alongside the Review-Journal's investigative reporter Art Kane, we traveled to Idaho and interviewed the families directly impacted by the officers' decisions that day. After months of requests, we received body cam footage that showed what happened at that traffic stop.
